WHEREABOUTS
27 03 2016 – 04 09 2016
The new exhibition at the GlazenHuis was called Whereabouts and was put together by the American curatorial collective Hyperopia Projects. Whereabouts refers to the places of residence of artists, to the context in which they live, work and are active in (internationally). We look how this context relates to their roots, their cultural or ethnic background. This ‘looking’ is also backed up by the collective’s name: hyperopia, which is the vision problem long-sightedness. Hyperopia as a metaphor for the way we see art?
